3. Free Service

YouTube Chapter Notes is free to use with no account required:

• No registration or account creation needed
• All data is stored locally in your browser
• Unlimited chapter saves and notes
• No credit card required, no hidden fees
• Access to all free features without restrictions

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate YouTube's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to access other users' data

5. Future Cloud Service (Coming Soon)

We plan to offer an optional paid cloud sync service in the future:

• Cloud Sync: $3.99/month for cloud storage and cross-device sync
• Payment Processing: Payments will be processed securely through Stripe
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled
• Free Plan: The free local storage version will always remain available

6. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by YouTube Chapter Notes and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Data and Privacy

Your data is stored locally in your browser:

• All chapter saves and notes are stored using Chrome's local storage
• Your data never leaves your device (in the free version)
• You can delete all your data by uninstalling the extension
• We do not have access to your saved chapters or notes

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL YOUTUBE CHAPTER NOTES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which YouTube Chapter Notes operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
